We all agree that Moi uni is one of the best universities in this country when it comes to education but did you know that apart from education there are a lot of worthwhile experiences you might get yourself into before leaving? While some of these experiences are thrilling, some are extremely draining. Here are a list of things you should do before leaving Moi uni as a student:
1. Go for a date in a Megabytes and take fries with chicken and a soda
Are you even in Moi university if you have never been taken for a date at Megabytes? Since town is quite expensive for most campus boys, Megabytes is the ultimate savior. Try it out with a campus guy, lol.
2. Go to F2
Whether for a drink or a dance or just to watch a game, the experience is a thrill especially when you are heartbroken. Get the other side of life, hatukujudge.
3. Go to Musese and eat "number 3"
If you are in your final year but had never gone to Musese like me, you are a cool kid. It's time we try this kibandaski out because the stories about it are tantalizing.
4. Go for picnic at falls with a crush
Most of us will agree that falls is a nice place to take a crush for concrete answers. The purity of the nature around the place just makes it easy for someone to speak out their mind or even pour out his/her heart.
5. Get heartbroken by someone who practices at MU fm
Though not all of them are heartbreakers, MU fm boys and girls (especially boys) are known for being the smartest cheats. They will love you and make you start searching for names of your future kids only to come and hit your heart with a hammer, lol.
6. Go for picnic at kesses dam.
Though most of these picnics are usually student organizational, a few are personal and the experience is worth it. Try it out before you leave.
7. Eat 20,000 chapatis and 10 acres of sukima wiki and 15,000 avocados
Are you even in Moi university if chapati is not your favourite snack and ugali with sukuma wiki sandwiched on avocado is not your daily meal? Need I say more, sukuma wiki, avocado, ugali and chapati define us.
8. Put on crocs with ankle socks to class
Though this applies to mostly junior students, there are a few seniors who still put on crocs with ankle socks to class. This experience is worth it especially on rainy and muddy days but once you are a third year, dress like an adult.
9.Go for picnic and have soda with nuvita biscuits for lunch
Even though students go to different picnic sites around campus, it is common to have nuvita biscuits with soda. It's culture, don't question, just follow along.
10. Own a pair of crocs, fur slippers or fila shoes or all of them
It is in the unwritten laws of being a lady comrade from Moi, you either follow suit or follow suit.
What are the other common things in Moi university?
Eti eat 20,000 ang'owa. If the chapos are 20 bob each, that translates to Ksh. 0.2million🤣
