1.Clinical depression
Though this is the most suffered kind of illness, it's also the most misunderstood. Clinical depression is caused by persistant depressed mood or loss of interest in activities. This kind of illness is mostly caused by overthinking which further leads to withdrawal. If not dealt with, depression can lead to deaths especially through suicide.
2. Anxiety:
This is characterised by feelings of worry and fear. Even though most people think it's normal to suffer anxiety, it's not. Anxiety causes panic attacks and these kind of attacks interfere with the system of the body.
3. Bipolar disorder:
We have all seen people whose mood swings kick so fast, haven't we? Well, this is not some kind of swag, it's a mental disorder. People who suffer this are mostly victims of worry and overthinking. Professional counseling may be a good remedy.
4. Dementia:
This usually occur as a result of overthinking. It's mostly characterised by unsocial symptoms that at the end interfere with human functioning. Speaking out and some counseling in hand may help in overcoming this.
5. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Commonly known as (ADH). This mental illness is characterised by difficulty in maintaining attention or controlling energy. Most people who suffer this illness have a problem with socializing.
6. Schizophrenia
This usually affects a person's ability to think, feel and behave. Most victims of schizophrenia talk to themselves and are branded 'mad'. Schizophrenia is mostly genetical
7. Obsessive disorder
This is usually caused by post traumatic stress and most of the victims suffer from paranoia.They end up being controlling especially in relationships and are always negative thinkers.
8. Autism
This usually starts from a younger age and affects a child's ability to communicate and interact .
Even though some of these illnesses are rumoured to be cursers, they aren't. Mental illness patients mostly suffer from stiatization which at the end may lead to other unplanned misfortunes. Don't stigmatize mental health patients, talk to them, listen to them, a listening ear is a helpful ear.
