WATCH HOW YOU TALK TO THE PEOPLE THAT YOU CARE FOR!

Often, we get angry and forget that despite the anger, we still need to take care of the love we have been cultivating coz what else sustains the world if not love? We end up saying things that if said to us would cause a great harm. Either knowingly or unknowingly, these words cause emotional damage to whoever they are said to and what is more sad is that we don't realize the harm we are causing. If you conform to the Christ ways , you will agree with me that Proverbs, James and Ecclesiastes among others don't speak of the tongue out of just speaking but because they both know what the tongue can do.

A lot of scribes as well talk about watching your tongue while with people and it's not in vain. If you've realized, most wars were caused by what others uttered. These were probably done by directly calling for the wars or saying words that caused rage. And rage in most cases don't just harm the people it's directed to but as well the people who use it. For instance, if you keep saying hurtful things to your significant other and they end up leaving you, won't it affect you? This is why we really have to watch what we say to others.

Anger can't be stopped, it has to come out of disagreements which are very normal but is there a way to approach it without throwing words and causing harm? I guess so:
1. Approach it maturely
Instead of throwing tantrums, use the most polite words to communicate that something is not in place. This would be better than using words that will emotionally damage the other party and make them question your love.
2. Let situations cool first
More often, we don't hurt others because we intend to but because our emotions have taken control of us. If you are the type of person who can't think straight when angered, let your anger cool first .
3. Be silent
Eventhough others may not like this, silence at times help in cooling off. It doesn't mean you'll be silent forever but choose it until you are far distant from the madness.

Prov 18:21: The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat it's fruits. Shalom
