1. Know your worth
This cliché has good intentions but constantly gets used as a blanket excuse for bad decisions a woman makes or behaviors a woman exhibits. You cannot misjudge your other half and fail to listen to his side of the story then walk away, knowing what you did was bad and that this man could have treated you better if you gave him a chance. Yes, it's good to know your worth but misquoting things ain't right.
2. Never settle
Setling means to reach an agreement on something. It's never a bad thing to reach an agreement with someone. Why should this be a big deal? You don't want us misquoting you for some hit and run chic, do you? If no, please, stop missusing this phrase. All of us want to settle for a positive thing. Instead, say "never settle for less, " that sounds much better.
3. Date with a purpose
Wait, this is interesting, which purpose? I thought dating already has a purpose, don't it? In most cases, this mentality disrupts the natural dating process. You'll only complicate things by trying to force and rush things out in the name of purpose. Give the relationship time to grow by itself without forcing things out.
4. All men are dogs
Really? If all men are dogs, who is your father? A wild dog or something? And your mom? A bitch? Wait, I think dogs give birth with dogs, are you a puppy? This is so unfair. Stop calling men dogs because two or three men broke your heart. We are all human beings and that should be respected.
5. Men ain't shit
This is a wrong phase which only undermines the good men in the society and blinds you from good men. You know why you'll always see the wrong in men? Because they ain't shit.
6. All men are the same
No, not all men are the same. Men will never be the same. They are born and raised up from different families, how can they be the same? Stop generalizing men because the men you first met in your life were bad. Some are so gentle and worthy.
7. My boyfriend better not ditch me for his boys
His boys are his boys and you are his girlfriend. His boys will be there for him when you screw up or walk away. Allow him have his time with them. His world doesn't revolve around you.
8. My boyfriend better not talk to other girls
Why? Are you the only living being in this planet? Hello?! If he wanted to be with those girls, he'd be with them. He has a reason why he's dating them and not you, stop being clingy.
9. "Sijui alimuonea nini huyu, hata si msupu, "
Hey, are you to be accountable for who he dates? Whether he's your brother, bff or ex ,keep your attitude away from his personal affairs. The fact that you don't see anything in his girlfriend doesn't mean no one does. She's his girlfriend and not yours, keep off. I don't know why it's so hard to understand that relationships are only for two people.
10. My boyfriend better buy me this
I have always heard ladies say this when I go shopping. What if he doesn't? Number one, you can buy yourself whatever the fuck you want. Your boyfriend is not your bank account so stop being so expectant. Let him buy you what he feels like.
